James Brooke Bistro @ Kuching

I had been wanting to dine in here, considering its exquisite and mysterious name; "James Brooke Bistro". I expected a British Colonial menu with fancy interior decoration but boy I was wrong.

It is no different than other restaurants in Kuching that caters to local palette. I ordered "Sir Charles Laksa" and I thought it was probably a hyped version of local laksa. To my dismay, it was only an ordinary "Mee Jawa" and few ringgits to burn from your wallet compared to other Mee Jawa. Not impressed at all.

I enjoyed the ambience but I wish those who served the food to me maybe could put a tingle of smile in their faces.
