Instant Chocolate Cake

So your unexpected guests decided to turn up at your place for dinner in 20mins. You are thinking of making instant seafood carbonara with ready made sauce and you are wondering what kind of dessert that you should serve it with?

Put your worries aside. This quick recipe of chocolate cake will never disappoint you. Easy to make and most of the ingredients are probably stocked up in your groceries. Here you go.

It's eggless too!


  1. 1/4 cup of all purpose flour
  2. A pinch of salt
  3. 1/4 tsp of baking powder
  4. 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
  5. 2 tbsp of high quality cocoa powder
  6. 2 tbsp of granulated sugar
  7. 1/3 cup of milk
  8. 1 dollop of hazelnut spread
  1. Mix all the ingredients number 1 to 7 together in a mug. Make sure there are no lumps in the mixture.
  2. Add a dollop of hazelnut spread in the middle of the mug once the mixture is well mixed.
  3. Place the mug in a microwave for 70 seconds in high setting. (Put a paper towel underneath the cup so when the mixture rises, it will not stain the microwave).
  4. Optional : Sprinkle icing sugar on the cake/ Serve the cake with a handful scoop of vanilla ice cream.
